The bowl cozy is made from 2 layers of cotton material and 2 layers of microwave safe batting. The materials will not harm the microwave. The material will not heat up from the microwaves, as they pass through the material. 

Machine Washable

These bowl cozies can be laundered with the regular loads and then dried as usual. Air drying is preferred, but the machine will not harm them. a cool iron is then recommended to maintain the shape and look of your bowl cozy.
